A great stop on the road up to the wonders of the Daintree Rainforest, and a great place for a beer and a bite to eat when you have had enough of the forest

Depending where you are in Mosman you get the best view of the bay. There are some huge houses overlooking the water and it must be great to live there

Mossman itself isn\'t anything spectacular, it\'s the gateway to the magnificent Daintree and home to the MUST VISIT Mossman Gorge. Where even in the heat of summer the waters will freeze your nipples off. It\'s an exhilerating feeling to jump in and feel the ice flow over you. You come out much cleaner than you went it. Brilliant rainforest walks. Any trip to Cairns is not complete without a visit here.

The main town giving access to the Daintree. Beautiful area in North Queensland, Mossman is a typical country town connecting the beaches to the rainforest.

I loved Mossman. It is a typical Far North Queensland town. I loved the smell of the sugar cane fires burning, the huge Moreton Bay Fig trees and the smell of rain and dampness in the air. Mossman Gorge is a wonderful swimming hole for those hot days.
